Short & Sweet
Österlen, a fairly small area of roughly 50x30 km on the most southeastern tip of Sweden in the region of Skåne (Scania in English) is by now a very well established and popular destination for both Swedes and foreign tourists alike, especially during summertime. Rolling hills, farmhouses, old castles and some of the most beautiful coastlines in Sweden (if you enjoy beaches of sand that is). At this point it felt like every single person around us had been and everyone always speaks fondly about it, so we thought:
"...is it about time we give it a try?"
From us here in Gothenburg it is actually only a 3-4 hour ride by car (or train) so it is by all means a very convenient and casual getaway. So, off we went and here is a very humble and easy take on how we spent 48 hours in Österlen….
